I FORGIVE
I forgive…..
I forgive because I love,
I forgive before I am hurt.
I forgive…..
I forgive and forget.
I forget when I forgive.
I forgive…..
Not that I don’t I don’t remember when I forget,
But that I don’t hurt when I remember.
I forgive…..
I forgive…..
I am bond when I don’t.
I am forgiven when I fall
I forgive…..
Because it is human to err,
I am human and I most times err.
I forgive…..
It is a law, an order I must obey.
Considering deeply, I don’t have a say.
I forgive…..
I am not weak,
It is inner strength – authority.
I forgive…..
It is giving another chance to live; to be a better person.
It is handing over to a superior hand
I forgive…..
Even when I don’t understand,
Even when there is no real reason to…
I forgive…..
It is not foolishness,
But it is something beyond reasoning and wisdom.
I forgive…..
It is loving differently and being different (Mt. 5:43-48).
It is “loving your neighbour as yourself”.
I forgive…..
It is medicine to/for our souls,
It is healing to the world,
It puts actions in check,
It makes the world a better place.
I forgive…..
It is one way to share grace – to be graceful to others,
It is a way to be little gods here on earth.
